Free(tula) at last
04/11/08I finally did it. After thinking about it for a long time, this summer I quit my job and since October I am fully self-employed in my own design company called Fritula. Now I can focus entirely on my freelance projects and that is something I always dreamed about. The downside is that somehow I managed to make myself even more busy and overbooked, but that’s normal I guess. What’s with the name, you might ask? It’s pronounced free-too-lah, and it’s the name of a simple yet cute and delicious traditional local sweet (this blog post will tell you more). If you’ve been here before, you will now notice that the domain name has changed, so now you can update your bookmarks. :)
A small gift from outer space
23/07/08I made a small web icon set for Smashing Magazine called Smashy the Alien and I am happy to inform that it’s now featured and available for download! The icon set consists of 8 trendy and cute icons inspired with cartoons and picture books. The icons are completely free of charge for both commercial and personal use and I hope you will find a way for using them in your designs.
Overproductive or just overworked?
12/07/08Being very busy last couple of months, many new projects are done. For now, you can check out the design for the Serb National Council website, while more other new designs are on the way. Also now there’s a new category in my portfolio called backlog. This category is featuring some designs that never made it past the review process, were never actually used, or just got stuck as a permanent work in progress - but I still find them interesting on some level. Expect more of those to be posted soon.
